The Playbook is the first book in the Onside Plus series — a practical, engaging resource for young people aged 9–16 exploring football, faith and real life.

Across eight sessions, it uses familiar moments from football alongside Bible stories, discussion questions, practical activities and weekly challenges to explore four key themes:

Each session follows the same simple rhythm:

Young people are encouraged to reflect, talk, try something practical during the week and then explore the topic further through the Onside Faith website or with a trusted leader.

The Playbook is designed for use in football projects, churches, schools, youth groups, mentoring settings or at home. It works well as an eight-week programme, but sessions can also be used individually.
