Our Work in Gambia
Onside Soccer partners with the Tree of Hope Foundation to run a weekly football project in Banjul, the Gambian capital. Under the expert guidance of our team of coaches the project meets every weekend with approximately 40-50 players attending.
The standard of play is high despite the poor facilities and the project is becoming well known for developing talented footballers. Onside Soccer currently employs Coaches Pascal, Kathy, Solomon and Melvin on a part time basis to look after the project and has also supplied equipment to help professionalise the project.
We are currently also registering a development team to play in the Gambian national league. The decision was taken to do this to allow our players to perform at a higher level in a structured league format and to provide continuity for those attaining the age of 18, providing a club structure whereby they could carry on their journey with Onside Soccer rather than go to different club environments.

A donation of:
- £10 will buy a new size 4 or size 5 football
- £20 will buy a team shirt and shorts for one player
- £50 will buy drinks and snacks for the players after training for one month
- £100 will provide transport for a team to attend a tournament in another part of the country
- £250 will kit out a team for one season
