Summer Camp FAQs

Please find below a list of common questions.  If you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

What happens on arrival at the camp?

Our camps follow a similar format each day.  Children should arrive between 9.45 - 10.00am, accompanied by a parent/guardian, where they will be signed in by one of our staff members.  Accompanying adults will need to give the name of the person who is picking them up later that day, plus an emergency contact number.  Children will then be shown by coaching staff where to go, with activities starting at 10.05am.

What is the daily format?

From Monday to Thursday each day will follow a similar format, with a combination of skill exercises, group drills and small sided games.  On Friday we will have our 'World Cup' competition day, with a number of games and matches, plus a mini tournament.  Each day we will also have a mentorship section based around our six values, and also a Bible Study section, where the group will look at a short message from the Bible.

Does my child have to participate in the Bible Study segment of the day?

No, if you would prefer your child not participate in this part of the summer camp it isn't an issue.  This is only a short segment of the day and they will be able to take some time out while it carries on.  Please just let camp staff know in advance that this is your preference.

Do you provide food and drinks?  What happens if it rains?

Children will need to bring all food and drinks with them each day.  Hopefully the weather will be good during the summer but if it rains then we get wet!  There is no provision for an indoor alternative so please dress accordingly for the weather forecast.

Do children need to bring anything else with them?

The playing surface will be grass so all players should wear football boots with either studs or blades if possible.  Shin guards will also be required and will be checked each morning.  Please wear whatever is comfortable and something which you can move around freely in whilst participating.

What happens at the end of each day?

Children must be picked up at 3.00pm sharp.  Parents/Guardians should come along to the pick-up point and sign their child out.  Children will only be released to the person named at drop off time in the morning so please ensure this is correct.  Persistent lateness at pick up time will result in an additional fee per child of £15.

My child is outside the age bracket - can they still attend?

Children in Years 8 and 9 are welcome to attend but just need to be aware that the camp is aimed at younger children.  Unfortunately we cannot accept children younger than Year 4.

Is the camp open to both boys and girls?

Yes, absolutely!  It is suitable for anyone in the appropriate age brackets to attend and will be accessible for both expert and beginner.
